Brian doesn't do theme parks. He can handle Islands of Adventure, but, other than that, he's not a fan. Florida teachers get in free to Sea World so this past spring we headed south for a little mini-vacay. I LOVE theme parks so I was hoping Sea World would go over well with Brian (he was little the last time he went, so he didn't remember it)..... I'm happy to report that it did.
As I mentioned, we went in early spring so the weather was gorgeous and the park felt like it was maybe at 50% capacity. Perfect!
Please excuse how gross I look... it was early. This is right before we walked into the park and went immediately to the Manta. Manta = roller coaster in which you lay on your stomach and ride. Since we stayed in a Sea World partner hotel, we had wristbands that got us to the front of every line. We rode the Manta and the other big roller coaster multiple times each. :)
I was all about touching the sea life. Brian was all about taking pictures so he didn't have to touch the sea life. :)
This was the Blue Horizons show. We ranked this show as the best we saw all day. It included dolphins and crazy people who did fancy dives from very high elevations. We thought it was better than the new Shamu show... though that was enjoyable as well.
Finally, a theme park that Brian gives a "thumbs up!"
